I look at this from time to time and ask myself... who am I? Does it matter?
Obviously you took a minute to look, so here goes. I'm just your average uber geek mixed with a sprinkle of skepticism and a fondness for food & serious cooking.
I'm a classically trained chef with a Grand Diplôme in the culinary arts from the French Culinary Institute in New York City. My culinary training has since taken me to the dark side of cooking, where I now work in the world of pastry. It's the only place where I can really put my OCD into overdrive and take out my mental frustrations on some serious dessert perfection.
Professionally I make amazing French delights at this fabulous patisserie right around the corner from our apartment in Bronxville. If you're ever in the neighborhood, swing by Chantilly on Parkway Road and pickup a few treats for yourself. I might even make one extra special just for you.
A little about the site; consider this a rambling of thoughts, where sometimes I scare you with too much information and my point blank honesty. I don't wear my heart on my sleeve, but I do tend to over-share. This site was initially intended as a place to spew some of those trapped thoughts about the search for happiness, but as life evolves so has this blog.
Other things about me: I love long walks on the beach (cliché - I know), sitting around in my pajamas, fried eggs over rice, afternoon naps, good coffee and tea - just not together, my cat, photography, listening to classical music, and above all else eating really great food.
